WHO WE ARE
Welcome to Surf City Pawville! We’re located on an acre of land off a quaint country road between Surf City and Hampstead, NC. Our facility features a huge indoor dog daycare playroom, a grooming spa, cozy cat boarding condos, and spacious dog boarding townhomes that feature private yards for each pup accessible through a doggy door. Most importantly, we have a team of professional and attentive staff who have crazy amounts of passion for the animals in our care. It’s really something you have to experience to appreciate. Stop by to meet us and take a tour anytime!
Our kitty townhomes are located in a private cats-only room that is insulated for sound to create a serene environment for our feline guests. Daily cleaning, attention, and love from our caring staff (as well as laser light shows) are always complimentary.
Let your companion spend the day with us to release some of that energy. Your dog will enjoy playtime with other dogs of similar size/temperament and will return home tired and happy.
Your dog will settle into a private townhome and even have the option to enjoy a private yard accessible through a doggie door. Each townhome is separately ventilated with a constant flow of purified air to create a healthy environment. Last of all, playtimes (with friends or alone) in the play yard are always complimentary for our boarding guests.
Here at Pawville Training Academy, we feel that there is no one way to train a dog. Our trainers believe that dogs, much like people, learn tasks and desired behaviors in varying ways. As such, we adjust our approach and methodologies based upon the needs of your pet. Our trainers are current and former US military dog trainers.
Our experienced and professional groomers are capable of providing a full range of grooming services ranging from beautiful poodle cuts to simple nail trims. We strive to make the grooming experience as comfortable as possible for every client and seek to establish a personal bond with each pet in our care. Most grooming appointments can be done within 3 hours from time of drop off.
The Pawville story began in 2006 when Phil and Amanda Miller found a 5,000 sq ft pet store in Citrus County, FL and invested their savings and sweat equity to purchase and convert it into a pet boarding and grooming facility named Citrus Pet Resort. From the start, they chose to focus heavily on the customer experience. This meant 1) investing heavily to train and retain high quality staff and 2) re-invest in their facility. This twin approach resulted in a satisfied and growing customer base which formed Citrus Pet Resort into the beautiful facility it is today.
After moving to North Carolina, Phil and Amanda opened their second location in 2012. This facility followed a similar trajectory as their FL location to become the most popular pet services facility in the Topsail, NC region.
Our Jacksonville, NC facility was added to the family when Pawville acquired the property at 471 Center St. With a solid team of loving staff and an intense focus on the quality of the customer experience, Jacksonville Pawville has developed a loyal following of customers.
The Company continues to grow and add service offerings and locations when these changes help enhance the consumer experience for their human clients and their four-legged guests.

Her past grooming experience makes her a valued member of our leadership team as she understands how to read and handle the pets in our care.Emily has three of her own pups. She received Katie (a yorkie mix) as a gift on her 9th birthday and she's been with her ever since. Even in her old age, she finds the energy to go kayaking and swim at the ocean. She rescued two Miniature Australian Shepherds named Zeevah and Kye as puppies and they have been living life to the fullest, from chasing birds at the ocean, to dog agility, and attending doggy daycare from time to time.+ Know More

Really great place . Friendly staff. They emailed me a report card and pic of my dog while she stayed there. It made my day to see her and know that she was well taken care of. I would recommend this place to my friends.
They respected and followed my instruction on how to take care of the dog. They were very accomodating for a working K-9. As A training professional of working K-9's of law enforcement and personnel protection I highly recommend Pawville Surf City for your K-9 needs.
This was my first experience boarding my dog and the whole idea was very nerve-wracking. The staff at Surf City Pawville was competent, helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about the comfort of my dog. They cooperated when I would check in regularly and they were extremely accommodating. Juno seemed to enjoy her stay. I would definitely take her back.
