We’re happy to groom all sizes and types of dogs ranging from simple nail trims to complex poodle cuts. Most grooms can be done within 3 hours, so you don’t have to be separated from your precious pup all day long. Our groomer will quickly develop rapport with your pup as she learns your dog’s habits and preferences. Meanwhile, your dog will learn to trust her gentle touch. We book by appointment only, so make sure you give us a call to schedule today.
Holly is a patient and loving groomer who is adored by so many of the pets in her care. Yet, pet parents also love her as she takes the time to listen to their concerns. Throughout her 10 year grooming career, she’s obtained various certifications while taking classes and attending grooming seminars/expos to further her education. Her deep experience and education allows her to masterfully groom all breeds, sizes, and styles. She also enjoys finding opportunities to utilize her skills in the non-traditional, including Asian fusion grooming, dyed hair, and any kind of fun, funky style. Call today to set up an appointment with Holly.
Please understand that last-minute cancellations and no-shows impact our groomer’s ability to earn a living. For this reason, we must insist that cancellations be made 24 hours prior to the time of the appointment so we can fill your empty time slot with another grooming appointment. In the event you fail to cancel in a timely manner, a $25 late charge will be added to your next grooming appointment.
We adore our old/disabled pups and promise to work patiently to meet their needs. However, we also realize our limitations and will notify you if your dog reaches that threshold where we can no longer safely groom your dog. In those instances, we’ll recommend your pet’s fur is trimmed at your veterinarian’s office.
Q: Do I need an appointment for just a nail trim?
A: Nope! Nail trims are a walk-in service. Our groomer works full time Tuesday – Saturday. Feel free to call ahead to make sure she’s there. Some of our kennel staff are trained in nail trimming and filing, too. Walk-in nail trims are $8 and nail filing is $10.
Q: What is included with my pets groom?
A: Your pet will receive a bath with high quality shampoo, conditioner, nail trimming, ear cleaning, blow dry, and haircut of your choice, complete with perfume and an accessory. External glands expression and nail filing can be done by request.
Q: How much does it cost to have my pet groomed?
A: Price depends on your pets breed, size, style of haircut, condition, and temperament. Feel free to call for a quote.
Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes, we operate by appointment to allow your pet to receive one-on-one time with our groomer from start to finish
Q: I don’t think I can make my appointment, do I need to call?
A: Yes, we ask that you do because your appointment is specifically blocked off for your pet and if they are more than 10 minutes late it will put our other clients’ appointments behind for the day. We ask you give us a call as far in advance as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule so we can replace your pet’s appointment with another grooming client.
Q: I’m boarding my pet, can my pet get groomed during while they’re there?
A: Of course! Our groomer does stay busy though so we ask you try to set this up in advance.
Q: How long will it take to groom my pet?
A: This depends on the breed, size, style of haircut, condition and temperament of your pet. Appointments can be done in 2 hours or less, but this can change. We can give you an approximate time that your pet will be finished at drop off.
Q: Will matting or de-infestation of fleas cost more?
A: Yes, there will be an additional price for matting depending on how extreme the matting is. It can take extra time to safely comb and brush out matting or clip them off if the coat is not salvageable. If your pet does not prefer to have them brushed out, or the coat is not salvageable, we will call you to let you know your pet must be clipped shorter. Our goal is to provide a calm, gentle experience for your pet and to do what is in their best interest.
Pets with fleas will automatically receive a soak in our flea shampoo and an additional $10 on their grooming price. Fear not, our flea shampoo is high quality and will not strip your pet of their natural oils while also soothing the itch. Please know this is not a preventative measure and we recommend you talk to your veterinarian about a monthly flea preventative and de-infestation of your pet’s living quarters. If you are aware your pet has these pesky critters, please let us know when making your appointment.
Q: Do you require vaccines for grooming appointments?
A: We do not require vaccines for our grooming clients although we require rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines for our boarding and daycare clients because they will have more interaction with other dogs. Please bring us a copy of your pet’s current vaccine records before dropping off for boarding or daycare.
Q: It’s my puppy’s first time at the groomer. What should I expect? How old should my puppy be to start grooming?
A: Grooming will be a routine part of your puppy’s entire life and we strive to make it a pleasurable experience. We recommend starting simple with a bath, nail clipping, ear cleaning, blow dry, and trimming of the face, feet, and sanitary areas for a couple of visits to get your puppy accustomed to grooming. Our groomer can also give you some tips to work with your pet at home between grooming visits.
You can start your puppy with grooming appointments as early as you and your veterinarian feel is right as your pup will have to get a couple of rounds of puppy vaccines.
Q: Do you use heated cage dryers?
A: No, our groomer puts your pets’ safety first. Your pet will be hand dried nose to tail if your pet is happy with this, however some pets don’t prefer to have some delicate areas blow dried such as the face or ears. Only then will we use a fan on your pet that has no heating element.
Q: Can I see where my pup will be during the grooming appointment?
A: Of course! We want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet with us. Just ask and you can come on in!
Q: I have a special needs dog, can I wait for them to be done? Can you avoid crating them?
A: Yes! We have clients who prefer this. Our groomer has a soft spot for special needs pets, seniors, pets with a history of seizures, blind, deaf, etc. Please let us know when making your appointment if you’d like to wait or have your pet not be crated so we can tailor your pets’ appointment to his or her needs. We just ask you wait in the lobby so our groomer can work in a safe and efficient manner.
Q: Do you do sedation grooming?
A: We do not sedate grooming clients. However, if your veterinarian has provided a prescription for your pet, you may administer that medicine to your pet prior to grooming. Please make us aware of this special circumstance when making the appointment. If we feel your pet is at risk of harming themselves or the groomer during the appointment we will suggest some other options for grooming your pet. Our groomer keeps your pet’s safety first and will cease the grooming appointment if she feels it is too stressful for your pet.
Q: I want to give my pet some pizzazz! Do you offer color or anything else to spruce them up?
A: Yes! We like to have some fun around here! We offer temporary non-toxic color, nail painting, nail art, temporary color tattoos and feather extensions. There is an additional charge for these services. Price depends on what is performed. We will not perform any color on pets that have a history of skin or coat problems. Please let us know if you are interested in any creative services when making your appointment.
(Pssst – our groomers toy poodle is often spotted sporting some color and fun styles around here 😉
Q: I’m interested in temporary color, how long will it last?
A: This depends on your pet’s coat. More porous hair will hold color longer as opposed to less porous hair (think poodle coat vs. that of a laborador). Temporary color will fade on its own or wash out within 1-3 washes depending on your pet’s coat type.
Q: Do you offer any other shampoos to help my pets’ skin and coat?
A: Yes, we have a wide variety of shampoos that we love. We do suggest you work with your veterinarian to treat any skin or coat issues your pet may have, but our lovely products can provide your pet some temporary relief along with regular grooming. Feel free to ask us about our selection.
